Sandos Caracol Eco Resort All Inclusive (Adults Only) Playa del Carmen

The resort had a strong musty smell in my suite, which was disappointing. Communication was lacking, long wait times, and unhelpful staff left a bad impression. On the bright side, the gorgeous grounds offered plenty of activities. The jungle atmosphere was a highlight, but issues with cleanliness, staff, and food dampened the experience.

LOVED the live mariachi breakfast. Definitely worth a visit again. The rooms were better than in photos.

The resort is just stunning, total eye candy, and the staff are all so chill and friendly, making the vibes extra mellow. Loved chilling at the select club beach facilities, air con for days, yo! The only tiny downside was the food; it was decent, but sometimes it was a tad cold, and the buffet lines made me feel like I was at Disneyland on a holiday.

Despite a few disappointments like limited dining options and confusing reservations, the resort's fantastic beach, pools, and plethora of activities made our family vacation memorable.

During our recent family vacation stay, we enjoyed the resort's expansive grounds and the opportunity to see various animals like monkeys around the property. The kids had a great time at the pool, and the vendors at night provided a lively atmosphere. While there were some issues with long queues and limited snack options, overall, we appreciated the nature-filled environment and the space to explore and relax together.

the staff were so friendly, but the drawback was only having one bathroom. 🙁

Here we found the perfect combination of luxury and nature. the venue is beautifully surrounded by a lush jungle and exotic animals while offering outstanding amenities. the peaceful environment and excellent service made our stay an unforgettable experience. Their delicious all-inclusive food options and outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas exceeded our expectations. The hotel's location is also ideal as it offered both private facilities and easy access to the beach. Cons: the only minor issue we found here was that the sauna and solarium were closed due to renovation. Despite this, we still had an excellent time and never felt the need to use those amenities.

The resort's natural beauty shines with wildlife and stunning grounds. Enjoy peaceful adults-only areas amid family-friendly surroundings. Friendly staff like Rosy and Jaime enhance the overall experience with attentive service.

The villas here are just so cozy and inviting! I loved the rustic decor and the spacious layout, it made me feel right at home. As a nature lover, the eco-friendly touches really resonated with me.

The Internet connection in the room was a bit spotty, but hey, it's all about unplugging, right?

I recently stayed at a fantastic resort in Playa del Carmen for 8 days. The all-inclusive option was definitely worth it, with plenty of restaurants and a private beach. The staff was friendly and the hygiene protocol was great. The eco theme created a unique and open atmosphere, with outdoor dining options. The resort had beautiful landscaping, cenotes, and even cute animals walking around. I highly recommend trying the massages on the beach, they were amazing. a wonderful experience!

The room was spacious, but the AC struggled. The Italian restaurant stood out, but other dining options fell short. The beach was rocky, but the wildlife was fascinating. Overall, a decent stay with some highs and lows.

At my first stay, the staff gave me great restaurant recommendations. This place has everything I need, like outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and a fitness studio. I'm coming back for Christmas!

This resort offers a wide range of activities for kids, including an aquapark and interactions with various animals. The buffet has a good selection of international cuisine with no wait times. The property is located in a beautiful natural setting with cenotes and a mangrove forest. The beach is lovely, although it is recommended to wear shoes due to stones and sea urchins. The entertainment is lively, but quieter areas are available for those seeking peace.

We loved the hotel's eco concept and being in the midst of nature. The staff at the pool and select club were super friendly and we enjoyed the activities available, like swimming in the river, visiting the cenote and biking. The hotel had a good variety of food options, and we especially enjoyed the a la carte restaurants, except for the Brazilian one. The hotel was clean, with few buildings visible from any point and we appreciated the original mangrove forest that had been left intact in some parts.

Lots to explore and do. Comfortable rooms. Unique cenotes on site. Kids club was awesome. Beach bar and areas were good. Plenty of food options and a la carte. Staff were super friendly and helpful

We had an amazing stay at this all-inclusive resort! Our room was spacious and comfortable with great amenities like a Bluetooth speaker and daily cleaning. We loved the variety of food options and the excellent restaurants, especially the Italian and Japanese ones. The activities like snorkeling and the water park were a blast. Even though the beach was rocky, it was perfect for snorkelling. The friendly staff made us feel safe and at home. we highly recommend Sandos!

With 29 water slides for kids and adults, it offered endless fun for everyone, and we spent hours laughing and splashing around. Additionally, the All-Nature Experience program immersed us in the lush ecosystems, creating unforgettable memories through daily activities. The main pool with water volleyball and fun games created a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a family vacation in a tropical paradise.

My kids wished for more children's activities.

By the water park that looks flashy, the surroundings are beautiful. However, the a la carte restaurants are systematic and away from the central areas, but the breakfast was tasty. The rooms are spacious but dated and need some TLC, and the towels and sheets were left outside in corridors to be changed into rooms. Nevertheless, the staff was always pleasant, and Jair was a fun tour guide who made the family trip memorable.

Some requests went unfulfilled.

We recently had an amazing vacation at a beautiful resort in a natural and secure park. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our family of seven and our room was spacious, clean, and had a big jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet was top-notch and the service at the La Laguna restaurant was exceptional. We enjoyed exploring the resort's trails and spotting various animals like monkeys, racoons, and coatis. The nightly shows were a highlight, especially the Fantasy show and the Michael Jackson performance. We also loved the romantic tour, bike ride, and kayaking. a fantastic experience with great facilities and stunning views!

The resort's food options could be improved, with many buffet choices being repetitive and confusing. Additionally, the limited availability of kids-friendly dishes was a drawback.

The outdoor waterpark is one of the main highlights of the resort with 29 slides ranging from adrenalin-pumping kamikaze slides, medium-sized body slides to slow child-friendly ones. I felt like a kid again as I zoomed down the thrilling slides, my laughter echoing alongside the splashing water. It was a perfect way to unwind and forget all the worries!

We recently spent 5 days at a beautiful resort in Playa del Carmen. The room was spacious and the AC worked perfectly. The food options were outstanding, with a wide selection at breakfast and a fantastic Italian restaurant for dinner. The staff at the restaurant was fast, friendly, and efficient. The resort had a variety of daily events and shows, and it was great to see the wild animals allowed to roam freely.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Plastic-free environment, except for bracelets and special occasions. Reusable plastic cups and plates provided on the beach. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Variety of activities and evening shows to keep entertained. Beautiful grounds with cenotes, plants, and wildlife.

Lots of wildlife, spacious and clean room, Japanese restaurant worth the wait, many activities and tours, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, beautiful beach.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Had a fantastic Easter break at this resort! the water slides in the aqua park were so much fun, especially the one that drops straight down. the room was beautiful and spacious, with a refreshing cenote nearby. the main pool had a great view of the beach. Plenty of activities on the beach, including jet skiing, paragliding, and snorkeling. the staff, especially Benjamin and Carlos, were friendly and made me laugh. the aqua park waiter, Mariano, made delicious snacks. a fantastic family-friendly holiday destination with something for everyone.

Enjoyable nightly shows, particularly Dream Girls and Fantasy. Diverse dining options at the international buffet. Friendly pool bartenders. Spacious and clean rooms in a lush green environment. Plenty of activities and things to do on-site. Friendly and helpful staff. Animals around the resort for animal lovers. Fantastic dive shop for diving enthusiasts

Felt truly spoilt, no reason to complain.

The hotel's decoration is magnificent, with charming, comfortable seating areas throughout the resort where us seniors can relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The accessibility for senior guests is excellent, with gentle ramps and elevators making it easy to move around. The general areas are well-maintained and offer plenty of shaded spots for us to rest and enjoy the scenery.

I would ask for a better vacation for senior people if the children working there could provide more assistance in guiding us around the resort.
